Kraj: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The parish church of St. James and St. Anne is associated with the Kraj area of Dicmo. The Rera theme park presents former railway stations; a steam locomotive was ceremonially installed there in Dicmo.

Culture and History

The Rera Theme Park of Historic Roads and Railway Stations was ceremonially opened in Dicmo. Dicmo railway station was built in 1902; the narrow-gauge railway between Sinj and Split operated from 1903 to 1962.

The main altar of the church features statues of St. James and St. Anne. The prehistoric hill near Glavica is listed as an archaeological monument and extends across Kraj, Sičane, and Prisoje. Archaeological evidence indicates that the Dicmanjsko polje was settled during the Illyrian period; the remains of a small Roman-Illyrian settlement have also been documented.

Paths and Landscape

A theme park is being developed in Dicmo along the former narrow-gauge railway line between Sinj and Split. The route also follows an ancient road and is now used as the pilgrimage route of Our Lady of Sinj. In Dicmo, the Rera route runs parallel to the D1 toward Kukuzovac.

Dicmanjsko polje is a karst field that is 15 kilometers long and up to 2.5 kilometers wide.

Places and Facilities

Zeleni park Dicmo is listed as a public park in the cadastral area of Kraj. The Rera Park in Dicmo is intended to serve visitors and educational programs, including outdoor learning.

The site of the former Ferate railway station is associated with Kraj. The building of the former Ferate railway station is currently closed to the public.
