Prvić Luka: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Prvić Luka is a village and small harbour on the southeastern coast of the island of Prvić. The settlement developed around the monastery of Saint Mary belonging to the Glagolitic Third Order friars, who settled there in 1461.

Culture and History

After the Glagolitic friars settled there, construction began on the Church of Saint Mary, also known as Our Lady of Mercy, and its monastery; the work was still ongoing in 1479.

The Church of the Nativity in Prvić Luka was built in 1479 by the Ambrozović family from Šibenik. It is a protected cultural asset under registration number Z-3326 and is no longer in use today.

Coast

The bathing area in Prvić Luka is partly developed. Its surface consists predominantly of concrete, while the remaining section is rocky. The bathing area is 400 metres long and 7 metres wide and is situated along a straight coastline.

The bathing area can be reached via a footpath; there are no parking spaces there.

Things to Do and Exhibitions

The Šibenik–Zlarin–Prvić–Vodice boat line is considered a scenic experience through the Šibenik Archipelago. The entire journey takes 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The exhibition at the Faust Vrančić Memorial Centre includes Homo Volans, meaning a flying human, as well as a dictionary in five European languages, including the first printed dictionaries of the Croatian and Hungarian languages.

The Sea Kayak Center Prvić Luka at the Maestral location offers high-quality kayaks and equipment.

Fešta u Prvić Luci is a recurring local event. It is listed in the Vodice Tourist Board calendars for 2024, 2025 and 2026 and classified among folk traditions.
