Gorice is considered a place on the edge of Krka National Park. Nearby is Turina Fortress, which was built during the rule of Paul I Šubić of Bribir on the remains of a prehistoric Liburnian hillfort.

Nature
The Krka landscape from the Skradin Bridge to the river mouth has been protected since September 1968. The mouth of the Guduća River lies on the northwestern shore of Lake Prukljansko, where saltwater and freshwater meet. 153 bird species have been recorded for Lake Prukljansko. The Guduća estuary is also home to frogs, pond turtles, grass snakes and numerous bird species.
The wider area around Skradin includes the protected landscape along the lower Krka, Lake Prukljansko and the mouth of the Guduća. Visitors can walk to viewpoints, observe waterfalls and explore the Guduća landscape by boat.
Culture and History
The Bribirska glavica archaeological site is associated with ancient Varvaria and medieval Bribir. At the same time, it preserves a settlement sequence spanning prehistory, the Liburnian, Roman and early Croatian periods, and the Middle Ages.
The museum in Scardona Park in Skradin displays historic cars, motorcycles, bicycles, photographs, artefacts and memorabilia. The museum program includes themed exhibitions, lectures, film screenings, technical workshops and restorations.
Food and Agriculture
In the surrounding area, Skradinska torta is made from almonds, walnuts and honey and traditionally served with rose liqueur. The cuisine of the Skradin area includes river and sea fish such as eel and trout, prosciutto from the hinterland of Skradin dried in the bora wind, meat dishes and Skradin risotto.
A farm recorded in Gorice included grain, clover, a vineyard, a fig tree and olive trees.
Getting Around the Area
The local road L65022 connects Ž6246 with Vaćani, passing through Ićevo, Bratiškovci and Gorice. From Skradin, Skradinski buk can be reached by boat, via a cycling route or along a footpath.
