Ljubotić: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

A station of the Križni put Prominom is located at the Chapel of Saint Ante in Ljubotić. The Križni put Prominom is a traditional procession that has taken place since 2015.

Ljubotić is one of the present-day villages in Promina; its name has been preserved from the 10th-century Promina parish.

Nature

Makeljina jama is a cave in Ljubotić measuring 90 metres in length and 51 metres in depth.

Ljubotić partially overlaps with Krka National Park: the park management plan lists 192 hectares of the settlement’s total area of 867 hectares, or 22.15 percent, as lying within the park.

Bilušića buk has two main stages and several intermediate stages, extends approximately 300 metres in length and about 100 metres in width, and has a total elevation difference of 22.4 metres.

Hiking

In the vicinity of Ljubotić, the Marasovine Trail can be reached from Marasovine by car via the Oklaj–Ljubotić–Knin road. It follows the Promina side of the Krka through long dry-stone walls to old watermills, washing areas and pools downstream from Bilušića buk.

The Ljubotić–Bilušića-Buk Trail is a 4.6-mile out-and-back route with 482 feet of elevation gain; the estimated duration is 1.5 to 2 hours. The route leads from the village of Ljubotić to Bilušić Buk, which is designated as the first of seven waterfalls on the Krka River.

Cycling and Regional Traditions

A cycling route passes through Ljubotić as part of the Knin–Ljubač–Matasi–Ljubotić–Čitluk–Oklaj–Knin loop.

The Gastrofestival Prominski bronzin has been held regularly in the wider region since 2016; local teams cook traditional dishes over a fire in bronzin pots.
