Viganj: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Viganj offers windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing on the narrow Pelješac Channel. When looking for a holiday apartment to rent, the town itself takes centre stage: The local tourism authority describes the wind there as particularly strong.

Water and Activities

At Ponta Liberan Beach, there are nearby schools that rent out equipment and teach beginners. Public outdoor recreational facilities also include a floodlit five-a-side football pitch and outdoor fitness areas with six pieces of equipment, changing facilities and showers.

The Nakovana climbing area is located on the road between Viganj and Nakovana. It comprises two sectors and 24 climbing routes in a protected area below Grad Hill.

Culture

Kuvenat is a former Dominican monastery and is now used as Viganj’s cultural centre.

Pelinovjak and Gališevica are located in the immediate vicinity of Viganj. The surrounding area includes Sveta Margareta, Sveti Ilija, Veliki Obrak and Sveti Juraj. Further afield in the region are Sveti Mihajil and Sveti Dominik.
