Trpanj reveals its landscape along paths between olive groves, dry-stone walls and the sea. The 6-kilometre-long Olive Oil Paths of Trpanj run from Vrilo Camp to Velika Prapratna. Along the route are centuries-old olive plantations and dry-stone walls, as well as route signs, benches and viewpoints where stone, olive trees and the sea come together in the landscape.
Paths and Landscape
Trpanj has a 2-kilometre-long coastal promenade. A 15-kilometre-long road leads to the bays of Divna and Duba, passing vineyards, olive trees, Mediterranean vegetation and a gorge above Divna Beach.
The 13-kilometre-long Duba–Lovište hiking and cycling trail leads through natural landscapes with views of Hvar. It runs above Jezero's pebbly and sandy beach, where fresh water flows into the sea.
Culture
Paškal's Path begins at the Church of “Our Lady of Mercy”, passes an archaeological site identified as an Illyrian cemetery, and continues to the Church of “St. Paškal”. The path offers views of the Neretva Channel, vineyards, olive trees and Gornja Vrućica.
Getting There
Jadrolinija ferry line 633 connects the port of Ploče with Trpanj; the journey takes one hour. From Pelješac, it is possible to continue travelling towards Dubrovnik, Mljet or Korčula. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Trpanj can then continue searching for accommodation.
