The parish church of St. George the Martyr was built in 1765. St. Martin’s Church is an exceptionally valuable monument of medieval architecture. The wells of Povljana have existed since antiquity. The age of St. Nicholas’s Church has not been determined precisely.

The local cuisine in Povljana is influenced by simple Dalmatian cuisine and is based on fresh fish and seafood, which are available fresh from the sea every day at local markets. Martinja is traditionally celebrated in Povljana on November 11.

Windsurfing on Pag is favored by the summer winds Maestral and Burin: the light Maestral is suitable for less adventurous surfers, increases in the late afternoon, and enables faster windsurfing; the stronger, cooler Burin blows from the north and also allows for faster windsurfing.
