Culture and History
Škrljevo is described as a village first mentioned toward the end of the 17th century under the name Villa Sherglievo. In 1901, Škrljevo became an independent parish.
At Kukurin in Škrljevo, the remains of a small church dedicated to Saint Ambrose have been preserved. The church is documented as dating from the 15th century; a local celebration also included a procession to its ruins. A preserved holy water font from the old church is displayed in the parish church.

The traditional Gulašijada attracts visitors to Škrljevo and takes place in front of the Dom kulture Škrljevo. At the Gulašijada, cooking teams prepare beef goulash.
