Cycling

Cukrići is crossed by the official Roveria cycling route. The easy route is 14.9 kilometres long and includes 8.6 kilometres of gravel and 6.3 kilometres of asphalt. It takes approximately 1.5 hours by bicycle and is suitable for trekking bikes, e-bikes and mountain bikes.

Culture

The traditional International Gathering of the Blind of Istria was held at LUČ Eduka in Cukrići in 2026. Cukrići celebrates the local Franćiškovo festival on 4 October. LUČ Eduka Cukrići also hosted the first Inclusive Sports Darts Tournament between Istrian associations for blind people and for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

LUČ Eduka Cukrići is designated as a regional centre for inclusive tourism. The facility has a terrace with a wheelchair ramp and a basketball court for people with visual impairments. The centre also includes four horizontal and two vertical trails with a total length of 850 metres.

History

In the hamlet of Sveti Kirin, which belongs to Cukrići, St. Quirinus' Church is located next to the D77 road. The church was built in the 16th century on the site of a three-nave Byzantine basilica from the 6th century; its foundations are still visible. Behind St. Quirinus' Church there is a rest area with a table, benches and a map of the area, overlooking the remains of the basilica's apse.

The surrounding area of Cukrići includes Soardo-Bembo Palace, Dvigrad Castle, Vižače and Mali Brijun. The wider regional area includes Arheološki muzej Istre, Škaraba, Standar and Brestovica.
