The area of Zabrežani stretches along a plateau on the Pazin–Pula road, after the turn-off to Sveti Petar u Šumi.
Culture and History
The chapel church of St. John and Paul near Zgrablići was built in 1635; Zgrablići almost adjoins Zabrežani. The entire area is commonly known locally by the name of the church of Sveti Ivan i Pavao.
Zabrežani hosts the traditional gathering of accordion players, “Armonike u polju”. The event has continued uninterrupted and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2023.
A memorial in Dolac below the Church of St. John and Paul in Zabrežani commemorates 62 victims from seven villages in the Pazin Field who died in the 1943 Rommel offensive. This memorial monument also bears the names of eight local residents who died on other fronts.

The Dvigrad Castle and Mount Veliki Breg are located in the immediate vicinity of Zabrežani. The surrounding area also includes the mountains of Trba, Standar and Gruja Vrh, as well as the Church of St. Mary on Škriljinah and the Church of Sveti Ivan.
