Banjole combines the Bumbište hiking trail, Centinera pebble beach and the Medulin Municipality History Park. The Centinera Beach Aquapark is located in a safe, tranquil lagoon protected from rough weather.

The Bumbište hiking trail is 2.5 kilometres long, easy to walk and takes an estimated 45 minutes.

Nature and Trails

The Bumbište hiking trail starts at the car park of Banjole harbour and ends back at the harbour. Along the way, it leads to a forest clearing with views of the Fraškeri archipelago.

The Banjolka cycling route starts and ends in Banjole near the Community Centre. It leads through Soline Forest Park, whose ecosystem has been protected since 1996. Near the end of the route is the Cnobori Local Gallery, with a permanent exhibition of reproductions and personal items belonging to the artist Josip Crnobori and the actress Marija Crnobori.

Water and Coast

Centinera is a beach in Banjole with a managed pebble shore extending for around 430 metres. The shoreline slopes gently into the sea; the shallow water is considered suitable for family swimming.

From there, excursions by kayak, SUP, small boat, jet ski and pedal boat are offered through nearby lagoons and bays. In the village, Diving Center Indie offers diving, parking, hot and cold water, rooms for drying and storing equipment, and a terrace.

Culture and History

The Medulin Municipality History Park, an open-air museum and gallery, lies in the heart of Banjole. It presents sites from the Medulin Riviera dating from prehistory, antiquity, early Christianity, the Middle Ages and the present day. The park is suitable for visitors with reduced mobility as well as for blind and visually impaired visitors; information in Braille and audio interpretations are available.

Local Character

Banjole has long been shaped by fishing. This includes fish restaurants as well as the opportunity for guests staying with fishermen to go out to sea with them or buy the fresh catch directly at the small harbour.
