Rabac: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Rabac is a holiday resort on the Adriatic coast, on the eastern side of the Istrian Peninsula. The historic town of Labin is located above the resort. When planning a stay in Rabac, you may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

Coast and Landscape

Rabac has white pebble beaches and rich Mediterranean vegetation. Maslinica Beach is a 500-metre-long pebble beach and has a designated section for people with disabilities. Water sports are also available at this beach.

Girandella Beach is a pebble beach with rocky and paved sections. It is included on Istria’s list of excellent beaches for 2026. Footpaths through a wooded area lead to Lanterna Beach; there is a lifeguard service there.

History and Culture

Around the middle of the 19th century, Rabac was a small fishing village with barely ten houses. The resort’s first hotel, “Quarnaro”, opened on 11 June 1889.

The “Rabac by Night” tour is offered in English, German, Italian, Croatian and Czech.

Activities

The promenade near Girandella Beach is suitable for cycling and walking. The tourist village of Girandella is also home to a renowned diving centre.

Events

The “Istrian Lifestyle Handmade and Gourmet Fair” takes place on Rabac’s waterfront every Thursday from 18 June to 10 September 2026.
