At Ravalico at Nova Vas 101, there is a tasting room with a capacity of 30 people. Ravalico maintains a winemaking and viticulture tradition in Nova Vas dating back to 1903 and produces olive oil.

Trails and Landscape

The official Four Lands cycling route passes through Nova Vas. Nearby is Škarline Nature Park, which can be reached from Nova Vas via an approximately two-kilometre gravel path.

The St. Rok hiking trail climbs up to Nova Vas after passing through the Škarline Gorge; its difficulty level is classified as moderate.

Culture and History

At the entrance to the village of Nova Vas stands the parish church of Saint Michael the Archangel. It was built in 1540 and was originally dedicated to Our Lady of Mercy.

The Kaštel sv. Jurja, located near Nova Vas, preserves its trapezoidal layout and well-preserved fortification walls.

The Fešta sv. Lovre in Nova Vas is a traditional celebration in honour of Saint Lawrence, the patron saint of Nova Vas. It combines music, dancing, a procession, as well as Istrian specialities, desserts and wine. In the vicinity of Nova Vas, its programme also includes a solemn mass in the Church of Saint Lawrence in Pavići.
