Culture
The Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus stands in the centre of Pojatno; it was built in the 1930s.
The mixed choir of KUD Pojatno brings together around 30 singers from Pojatno, Kupljenovo, Pušća and Zaprešić. Its repertoire comprises around 100 Croatian folk, popular, old-town and sacred songs. In 2010, KUD Pojatno recorded the album “Oj, Pojatno”, documenting part of its work to preserve Croatian folk songs.
A celebration was enriched by folk performances by KUD Pojatno and guests from Hruševec Kupljenski and the partner municipality of Kiseljak. The celebration of “Dan Pojatna” included a traditional procession and Holy Mass. The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus has also been celebrated as “Dan Pojatna” for 29 years.
Transport and Routes
In the timetable for the period from 14 December 2025 to 12 December 2026, Pojatno is listed as a scheduled stop on Zagreb suburban services on the Zagreb–Zabok route, between Novi Dvori and Kupljenovo. The Pojatno stop has video surveillance, visual and audio passenger information, and parking spaces.
The planned “Forest Ride” project envisages new cycling and pedestrian infrastructure between Zaprešić and Pojatno, as well as its connection to the existing cycling and pedestrian route to Novi Dvori railway station; 3.2 kilometres of new cycling and pedestrian infrastructure are planned within the city of Zaprešić. The “One lap around Zaprešić” cycle route follows a gravel road to Pojatno and then continues towards Donja Pušća.
