Križ: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Križ can then continue searching for accommodation. The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is a protected cultural monument; it is already mentioned in records from 1334. Its present-day Baroque appearance dates back to a restoration in the 17th century; at the same time, it is described as the best-preserved medieval building in the surrounding area.

Culture and History

The church has a Baroque organ dating from 1787, which was restored in 1909 and is described as one of the oldest and best-preserved organs in Croatia.

The protected historic centre of Križ also includes a park from the late 19th century. It is attributed to the landscape gardener Viteslav Durchanek, who is also associated with Zagreb’s Lenuci Horseshoe and the Botanical Garden.

The Jelen Grad ruins are located in the area surrounding Križ. Skankovica, Crna Humka and Malažije are also located in the surrounding area. Gora Humka lies in the wider regional surroundings of Križ.
