Cret Dubravica has been a protected special botanical reserve since 1966 and covers an area of 8.49 hectares in Dubrava Forest, below Lugarski breg on the left slope of the Dubrava stream. From an observation platform built in 2020, visitors can view the marsh and its plant life.

Those who choose Dubravica as their destination may want to rent a holiday apartment there.

Nature

Cret Dubravica is an acidophilous transitional marsh. Four critically endangered marsh mushroom species have been recorded in this marsh: Galerina paludosa, Galerina tibiicystis, Hygrocybe coccineocrenata and Myriosclerotinia dennisii.

Cret Dubravica is one of Croatia’s last remaining marsh areas and one of the last habitats of the round-leaved sundew in Croatia.

Visitors should view Cret Dubravica only from its edge and should not enter the marsh, except for maintenance purposes or scientific research.
