Hiking
The Starigrad–Donja Klada trail offers views of the islands of Rab and Goli otok. It runs through coastal vegetation with maquis, coastal grassland and rocky terrain.
The route can be started in Starigrad or Donja Klada. The educational section of the trail is approximately 1 metre wide. From Senj, the turn-off towards Starigrad is approximately 26 km along the Adriatic Coastal Road.
History
A branch of the trail near Starigrad leads to an old mountain fortress. Its protected location supported settlement from prehistory through antiquity, the Middle Ages and the modern era; material remains are still present.
