Nature
The Gornja Klada–Zavižan path begins next to a chapel in Gornja Klada and continues as a marked, well-maintained hiking trail. The Zavižan mountain hut is located nearby; it was built on the foundations of the Krajačeva kuća, which was built in 1927. Zavižan lies at 1,594 metres above sea level.
The Velebit Botanical Garden is about a 15-minute walk from the Zavižan mountain hut. It was established in 1967.
Culture and History
Zavižan is home to Croatia's oldest high-altitude weather station, established in 1953.
