Culture

The Church of the Holy Trinity has a Gothic chancel dating from the 15th century, with 15th-century wall paintings preserved inside. The church in Donja Stubica has been documented since 1346. History

In 1899, Eugen Viktor Feller owned the Holy Trinity Pharmacy in Donja Stubica. In 1901, Feller established a laboratory and factory building in a newly constructed Neo-Baroque building next to the church. The Neo-Baroque Feller laboratory and factory building was listed as a protected heritage site in 1994.

Seljačka Buna – Bitka kod Stubice is an annual historical reenactment held at the beginning of February and associated with Donja Stubica. In the 2026 edition, the 1573 uprising was reenacted in the town centre.

Hiking Trail 37, also known as Sljemenski put, runs from Donja Stubica to Hunjka mountain lodge along the ridge of Medvednica. The trail is 6.1 kilometres long and rated as having a medium level of difficulty (4/5).
