Mračin: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Mračin combines several officially listed archaeological sites with historical traces and marked landscape features in the surrounding area. The archaeological areas include Selo–Tomičići and Kapela–Banjavčići; the Škrinja–Tomičići archaeological site is also listed.

Culture

A field survey at the Kapela–Banjavčići site uncovered many stones, bricks, and several pieces of modern pottery. The finds were concentrated in the middle of the field. According to local tradition, the former structure at this site was a chapel dedicated to Saint Mark. The chapel was probably demolished before 1774/1775; it is absent from the Habsburg map from that period.

South of Mračin stands the stone trough Škrinja, which is associated with ancient local quarries. Sarcophagi were made in these quarries.

Those choosing Mračin as a travel destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

Landscape

In the area surrounding Mračin, Privis, Veliki Družac, and Veliki Vrh are listed as mapped mountains, while Lešće Toplice is listed as a mapped spring. For all four names, the assignment to the surrounding area is only approximate.

Cycling

The Uz sedrene slapove cycling route is 30 kilometres long. Its surface consists of 97 percent asphalt and 3 percent gravel.

On the Dobra section, the route continues downstream along the right bank to Gradišće, Mračin, and Dubravci.
