Grabovnica: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Chapel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary was built in 1905 or 1906 through contributions from Catholic and Orthodox villagers. It was extensively restored for its centenary.

The Church of the Prophet Amos – St. Lazarus of Kosovo was built in 1868, replacing an older wooden chapel on St. Vid Hill. Its walls were decorated with frescoes. The tower roof was reconstructed after collapsing around 2008.

History

Grabovnica Aerodrom is a destination for visitors interested in military exhibits. The outdoor display at the airfield includes a Lockheed T-33 and a MiG 21 BIS. The MiG 21 BIS on display actively participated in the Croatian War of Independence.

The airfield was built in 1986 as an agricultural aerodrome. The open-air museum exhibition is considered accessible to visitors year-round and free of charge.

The ČazmaGravel routes are circuits and can be started at any point. ČazmaGravel 1 reaches Grabovnica after passing through Vagovina and Bojana and leads past the aerodrome, the bioenergy plant, and a farm. ČazmaGravel 2 reaches Grabovnica, turns left at a chapel, and then runs past the aerodrome, the bioenergy plant, and a farm.
