Gorni Lom is the starting point of the Midzhur eco-trail. The route begins in Gorni Lom, runs via Mandara, Dzhurdzhin Krash and Kozya Garbina, and reaches Mount Midzhur.
Nature
The protected area of Chyprenski Buki extends into the land around Gorni Lom. The Yellow Gentian eco-trail also starts from the village and runs via Letovishte to Preslap.
Hut Midzhur stands in the Gorni Lom Balkan next to the starting point for the ascent of Mount Midzhur. The hut is listed as having sanitary facilities, a kitchenette and a dining room.
Culture
At the eastern edge of Gorni Lom stands the Church of St Paraskeva, 100 metres to the right of the road before entering the settlement. It is designated as an architectural and artistic monument of national importance and is described as one of the oldest single-nave churches in the region. Inside, only the frescoes on the eastern wall are listed as preserved.
The annual Turlashki folk festival „Kada kum prase i ti vrechu“ presents songs, customs, clothing and rituals associated with the local Turlak community.

Gorni Lom has a tourist information centre that provides information about municipal attractions and routes, accommodation, as well as visits to local woodworkers. There is also a tourist centre with an ethnographic collection.
