Dobri dol: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture

The monastery was destroyed in the 15th century and restored by Pimen Zografski. The monastery church has an almost square, cruciform floor plan; it is single-nave, has a single apse, and features a dome on an octagonal drum. The western exterior wall is adorned with stone reliefs depicting people, birds, and archangels.

At the entrance to the monastery stands a large stone fountain, built in 1861 with funds from the bakers' guild of Lom. The church is described as a rare example of Bulgarian religious architecture from the National Revival period. The monastery is associated with the ecclesiastical apostolate of Antim Vidinski, Bulgaria's first exarch after the restoration of the Bulgarian Church.

A chapel dedicated to Saints Cosmas and Damian contains the monastery spring, known as Ayazmo. The Dobri Dol Monastery also has rooms for overnight stays.

Four old sessile oaks are recorded in Dobri Dol.

Dobri Dol is located along the II-11 road corridor in the direction of Lom and Gorni Tsibar.

Activities

There are two cycling routes in the municipality of Lom that can be used with your own or rented bicycles. Motorized water sports are practiced on the Danube within the municipality of Lom. In Dolno Linevo, which belongs to the municipality of Lom, visitors can visit a horse-riding center.
