Paril is the main access point to Hija Slavyanka and lies 3.1 km east of the hut. Hija Slavyanka is located about 1 km east of the Paril Saddle on the old road between Goleshevo and Paril. A short footpath leads down from the Paril Saddle to Hija Slavyanka; from Paril, a truck road climbs up to it.

The 18.2 km Class III village road to Paril branches off from Road II-19 near Koprivlen. Access to Hija Slavyanka is via an unpaved road suitable for a vehicle with high ground clearance.

The route from Hija Slavyanka to Izvora Hut takes about three hours and runs 15.5 km westward. The route through the Southern Pirin to the Papazchair Saddle takes about six hours, is marked in red, and forms part of the E4. Hija Slavyanka is the final point of the E4 route on Bulgarian territory.

The route to Golyam Tsarev Vrah passes through beech forest, black pine, and Macedonian pine forest before reaching the main ridge north of Tsari Vrah at an elevation of 2,183 m. The route from Hija Slavyanka to Golyam Tsarev Vrah takes about three and a half hours; its upper section is at risk of avalanches in winter.

Hija Slavyanka has a total capacity of 66 places and offers paintball, attractions for children, a play area for toddlers, and a football pitch.

Nature

Paril lies within the Slavyanka (BG0002078) and Middle Pirin–Alibotush (BG0001028) protected areas. Slavyanka is a karst mountain with diverse flora.

The Ali-Botush Reserve is home to more than 1,400 herbaceous plant species, including nearly 20 local endemics and 42 Balkan endemics. It protects Bosnian pine, Austrian black pine, and Macedonian fir.

Visits to the Ali-Botush Reserve require a permit from the Ministry of Environment and Water and coordination with the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water.

Culture

The Church of Saints Constantine and Helena in Paril is listed among the immovable cultural monuments of Hadzhidimovo Municipality. The Rupata Cave in Paril is recorded as being 35 m long and 8 m deep; it is listed as freely accessible.
