The history of the former castle remains preserved as part of the story of how the present-day village came into being.

Another historical trace leads to the Stalijzermolen. The mill has been protected as a monument since September 5, 1973, and remained in operation until 1960. Together with the parish church, the Estaminet and Het Blauwhuis, it conveys different facets of the village’s history: sacred architecture, traditional village buildings, a historic farmstead and a former milling operation.
