Feluy combines an impressive history with paths through an unusual landscape. The Château-fort de Feluy, the Église Sainte-Aldegonde, the La Feluysienne walking route and the traces of former quarries give the town several different faces.

Château-fort and Église Sainte-Aldegonde

The Château-fort de Feluy was built in the 1380s on the orders of Eustache de Bousies. Its history therefore reaches far back into the Middle Ages. In 1489, the castle was taken by Duke Albert of Saxony. These two key dates make the Château-fort a particularly vivid starting point if you are interested in the eventful history of the town.

The Église Sainte-Aldegonde also bears several historical layers. It was rebuilt between 1754 and 1756 in limestone on the foundations of a 16th-century sanctuary. The tree was planted on 20 December 1762 by the parish priest of Feluy, dates from 1762 and can be seen on the Grand’Rue in Feluy. On 14 June 1944, it was listed for its aesthetic and scientific value. Such specific details give a walk through the town a distinctive point of reference.

The Source du Tremblement is located on the Sentier du Croquet behind the Château-fort de Feluy. In addition, remains of former quarries and flooded areas of the former quarry landscape have been preserved in Feluy. These landscape features complement the historic buildings with a different perspective: Alongside architecture and local history, you will also encounter traces of the site's former use.
