There is also an easier alternative route of 5.720 km. The almost identical route lengths therefore do not mean that the trails have the same characteristics. Another option is the Les Crêtes de Chairière promenade. It leads over ridges, through villages and along the Semois, and offers viewpoints. On this promenade, Chairière is also described as an area of great biological interest. Washhouses, Church and Local History

The Lavoir de Chairière was inaugurated on 16 September 2017 after its restoration. The watering trough and water pump were also restored. Water was present in the basins again during the restoration. A second, recently restored washhouse is located on the circular trail through Chairière. It is home to nests of barn swallows. The washhouses were built following cholera crises in the mid-19th century, thereby combining visible local history with a specific natural detail.

The Saint-Walfroid Church, with its 16th-century tower, also provides historical context. In Petite Chairière stands the church that is the only one in the region still surrounded by its cemetery. The Maison de la Semois ardennaise is a reception house in Chairière and was built in the form of a tobacco barn. These different buildings provide several cultural points of connection during a stay, without requiring all experiences to be part of the same outing.
