The restored town hall of Mogilev is a 17th-century architectural monument and houses the Museum of the History of Mogilev. Its 47-metre-high tower has an observation platform with views over the Dnieper floodplain.

Culture and History
Part of the historic cityscape is the Свято-Никольский женский монастырь, a Belarusian architectural monument from the 17th century with a carved, gilded iconostasis. The Church of the Three Saints is Mogilev’s most important Orthodox church; its building has a cruciform layout and seven domes.
The Mogilev Drama Theatre is the oldest theatre in Belarus. It was built in 1888 as the country’s first building constructed specifically for use as a theatre. Another cultural attraction is the V.K. Bialynitsky-Birulya Art Museum. It is a branch of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus and is housed in an architectural monument of residential architecture in the late Baroque style.
The P.V. Maslenikov Art Museum has a collection of works of art from the 17th to the 19th centuries and old icons, including works by Belarusian artists.
Squares and Viewpoints
Star Square is home to a bronze sculpture of an astronomer with a telescope that forms the hand of a sundial. The square also has twelve chairs representing the twelve signs of the zodiac. Visitors can sit on them and view the surrounding historic architecture.
Glory Square is one of the highest points in Mogilev and offers views of the Dnieper and the Zadniproje district.
Museums and Exhibitions
The exhibition “Archaeology and Ancient History of the Mogilev Region” is arranged in five halls. It covers the material culture and economic activities of the population of the Mogilev Dnieper region from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. On display are flint and stone tools, iron implements, ceramics, jewellery and grains of cultivated plants.
Dioramas in the same exhibition depict mammoth hunting, fishing, pottery-making, and a cult site with burial mounds and a settlement.
The Mogilev Regional Museum of Local Lore documents rural life in the wider Mogilev region through towels, clothing, household items, wooden and clay dishes, textiles, tools, bridal clothing and traditional baked goods.
At the Mogilev Regional Museum of Local Lore, interactive natural history programmes featuring Ice Age animals, bird calls, fishing, animal tracks and forest-related activities were offered as part of the cultural and educational event “Night of Museums”.
Nature and Trails
Podnikolie Park has walking and cycling paths, rest areas, photo spots, children’s playgrounds and a visitor map.
Within the city limits of Mogilev lies Pechersky Forest Park, which preserves the natural character of a spruce and pine stand. The park includes a 4-kilometre health trail, a recreation zone and an open-air stage. There is a boat station and a beach at Pecherskoye Lake.
