Culture and history
The 25th National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry “Maladziečna-2026” was opened in Maladziečna in 2026. The National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry was conceived in Maladziečna to promote Belarusian culture, particularly contemporary Belarusian poetry and music. At the same time, it was designed as a platform where young artists perform Belarusian songs without playback.

Museums
Since 2013, the Maladziečna Regional Museum of Local Lore has featured the exhibition “Nature of the Minsk Region”. The permanent exhibition “History of the Minsk Region from Early Times to the Beginning of the 20th Century” occupies 175 m² and comprises around 2,000 exhibits. Historic sites
The Zamchišče of Maladziečna is included in the list of historical and cultural-historical values of Belarus and is regarded as the city’s most important archaeological monument. Today, only earthworks and fragments of foundations remain at the Zamchišče. The Zamchišče in Maladziečna is visited along the route “Molodechno Region (1 Route)”.
The building of the former monastery and teachers’ seminary in Maladziečna is a late Baroque architectural monument. In 1864, Belarus’s first pedagogical educational institution, the Maladziečna Teachers’ Seminary, was founded in this building.
Memorial sites
The Stalag-342 memorial complex in Maladziečna is a stylised concrete barracks. The memorial complex contains the remains of 33,150 people who were tortured and died in the “Stalag-342” concentration camp.
Cityscape and transport
The Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God is located at 1 Staroe Mesto Square in Maladziečna, Minsk Region. Maladziečna’s present-day railway station was built in 1907 and is considered a characteristic example of Art Nouveau architecture. The first trains reached the station in 1873; in the same year, railway services reached Maladziečna with the opening of the railway connections between Minsk and Vilnius.
