History
Rorbas has a documented medieval and early modern history connected with the lordship of Teufen, the Bishop of Constance, the Grossmünster and the city of Zurich.
A cantonal road was built via Wagenbreche to Glattfelden in 1841–1842. In 1876, Rorbas gained rail access via the Winterthur–Bülach–Koblenz line at Embrach-Rorbas railway station.
