The settlement lies at an altitude of 786 metres in a depression of the Ruisseau de Corcelles, on the eastern slope of the Jorat Plateau in the Vaud Mittelland.

Two headwater streams flow through the municipal area; below the village, they merge to form the Ruisseau de Corcelles. The area also includes the Corbassière and Cerjuz streams.

The municipal area includes the wooded heights of the Jorat, including Bois Faucon and Bois Vuacoz. Bois Vuacoz reaches 927 metres, making it the highest point of Corcelles-le-Jorat.

Land use is predominantly agricultural and characterised by woodland: in 1997, 53 % of the municipal area consisted of agricultural land and 42 % of forest and woodland.
