Chamoson is a municipality in the district of Conthey, in the French-speaking part of Valais in Switzerland.

Chamoson is the largest wine-growing municipality in Valais and the second-largest in Switzerland.

Chamoson has more than 400 hectares of vineyards and more than 50 wine producers.

Twenty-one red and 18 white grape varieties are grown in Chamoson. The most common include Pinot Noir, Sylvaner – known locally as Johannisberg – and Gamay.

Johannisberg is designated as a speciality of Chamoson. It is grown on around 75 hectares; the municipality also uses the designation “Terre de Johannisberg”.
