The Catholic parish church of the Assumption of Mary was first mentioned in 1445, but is probably older. In 1494, it was rebuilt as a late Gothic hall church.
Culture
Other sacred buildings include the Chapel of St. Magnus, also known as Sogn Mang, a wayside chapel on the northern edge of the Bonaduz terrace, and the Chapel of St. Anthony, a wayside chapel on the western edge of Bonaduz. The Church of St. George, also known as Sogn Gieri and the oldest valley church, stands on a wooded hill in open countryside between Bonaduz and Rhäzüns, directly on the steep bank of the Hinterrhein.
The Church of Sogn Gieri features wall paintings in the choir and on the chancel arch dating from around 1340. The medieval fabric was restored in 1961–1963 and 2015 and is protected as a site of national and cantonal heritage. The Bonaduz Cultural Archive documents the history of Bonaduz with images, audio recordings, texts and objects. It contains 10,000 documents dating from 1700 to the present day.

Trails
The Turnerweg begins at Bonaduz railway station, leads across wide fields and, after a short descent, directly to the banks of the Hinterrhein. In the direction of Reichenau, it runs through the Rhine floodplains and returns to the village of Bonaduz via a field path. At Reichenau, the Vorderhein and Hinterrhein converge. The Turnerweg (659.10) is an easy 6.1-kilometre hike.
The Bot Tschavier circular trail (656.7) begins in Bonaduz, passes the picturesque Sogn Mang Chapel, offers views of the Rhine Gorge and runs around the Bot Tschavier hill. A detour to Wackenau Castle ruins is possible. The Via Francisca also reaches Bonaduz after crossing the Vorderrhein on a railway bridge.
Nature and Water
Near Bonaduz lies the Ruinaulta, a wild gorge with a raging river, white cliffs and extensive forests. Rare birds breed in its alluvial forests. Near Bonaduz, the Ruinaulta can be experienced on the Vorderrhein by canoe, kayak and while river rafting.
Lag Bonaduz is a small lake east of Bonaduz village centre and becomes a bathing lake during the summer months. A wooden footbridge provides access to the water at Lag Bonaduz. On 14 August 2026, the Lag bathing lake remained closed.
Weihermühle is classified as a fen of national importance and has been designated a nature reserve since 1967.
