Geographical Location
Givisiez is situated at 630 m above sea level, approximately 2 km west-northwest of Fribourg.
Givisiez extends along the southern slope of the Ruisseau du Tiguelet valley, on the Molasse hills in the Fribourg Central Plateau.
The municipality includes Molasse hills between the valleys of the Sonnaz and the Sarine, as well as forest, agricultural areas and the Tiguelet valley.
Givisiez lies on the western edge of Fribourg and has a strongly developed role in trade and distribution, which also includes shopping centres.
