History

Until 2000, Vauffelin was an independent political municipality; in 2000, it merged with Plagne to form the municipality of Sauge.

The former municipal area extended from the Vauffelin dry valley towards the Schüsstal, reached south as far as the Bözingenberg ridge and included the ridge of the Montagne de Romont to the north.
