Culture

The present-day Church of Saint Ladislaus in Veľká Paka was built in 1678 on older foundations and rebuilt in its current form in 1936–1937. It is a single-nave building with a presbytery ending in a straight wall.

The altar of the original presbytery, which now serves as a side chapel, is Neoclassical and bears a painting of Saint Ladislaus from the second half of the 18th century. The parish house in Veľká Paka has an L-shaped floor plan and probably dates from the early 19th century.

KÉP DOMB was declared a national cultural monument in 2017 and is one of the few surviving prehistoric burial mounds rising above ground level in the lowland areas of Slovakia.
