The “Domeniul Dracula Daneș” is located within the protected area ROSCI0227 Sighișoara-Târnava Mare. A specific natural area nearby is the “Rezervația de stejar pufos Criș” forest reserve, which lies directly next to the village of Criș. The reserve extends at an altitude of 500 to 650 metres and covers 11.9 hectares. Its landscape includes forested areas of the hilly region at higher elevations. The wildlife is also specifically described: the most frequently observed species include roe deer, rabbits, wild boars and pheasants.
