Săcărâmb’s present-day Roman Catholic church was built in 1777 from local volcanic rock and consecrated on 8 December 1777. It stands on the Calvaria mică volcanic cone. Inside the church, a preserved mural medallion displays mining emblems with two hammers and a miner’s lamp.

Săcărâmb’s Orthodox church was also completely renovated in 1980. The ruins of the former Greek Catholic Biserica trăsnită still stand on the ridge where the church had been built. The “Crucea Roșie” in Săcărâmb is a landmark on the route taken by the revolutionaries of 1848 to Alba Iulia. The Emperor Franz Joseph Spring in the Silver Forest is a local excursion destination.
