The specialities that can be tasted in Vouzela include Vitela de Lafões. Folar de Vouzela is a sweet bread made from flour, water and eggs, with a filling based on sugar and butter. Sopa Seca, in turn, is a traditional dish from Alcofra based on bread and the cooking liquid from a stew. These different dishes give you several ways to discover regional cuisine – from sweet pastries to savoury tradition.

The Festival Gastronómico da Vitela de Lafões returns as a multi-day event, combining gastronomy, music, entertainment and local traditions. The programme of the Mostra da Sopa Seca includes the sale of regional products and handicrafts, as well as guided tours of the Torre Medieval de Alcofra.
