Experience historic Loon op Zand

The historic settlement of Loon op Zand was established around the year 1100 and was known as Venloon. Several centuries later, the history of Het Witte Kasteel dates back to the 14th century. Its grounds offer an opportunity to go for a walk, while volunteers provide historical tours of Het Witte Kasteel and its gardens.

Another focal point of the town's history is the St. Jans Onthoofding Kerk. Its construction began around 1392. Around 1400, the choir and an adjoining rectangular hall church were built. The church is part of the route “Wandelen in historisch Loon op Zand” (“Walk through historic Loon op Zand”).
