In her will, she stipulated that the capital of the Julia Jan Wouters Stichting should primarily be used to provide lifelong accommodation and full care at the Veenwijk country house for unmarried and needy women from the respectable and educated classes, who were at least 45 years old and born in the province of Friesland.

The grounds themselves also preserve distinctive features: the Woutersbergje and a straight water avenue leading to a pond have been preserved on the historic grounds of the Julia Jan Wouters Stichting. The interior features an Art Nouveau design. A crypt was created at Schoterlandseweg 45 between 1807 and 1810. This gives you a village landscape in which the grounds, interior and individual historic traces reveal different layers of the past.
