San Pietro di Feletto combines historic religious buildings with artistic highlights, museums in the surrounding area and regional specialities. The area is also surrounded by mountains and includes an island nearby. For culture enthusiasts, historic architecture and painting can be experienced at specific sites; at the Pieve, the fresco cycle and the Cristo della Domenica are the main examples of artwork.

Culture between the Pieve and the Hermitage

On Colle Capriolo are the remains of the former Camaldolese hermitage of San Benedetto, which was established in the second half of the 17th century. The Galleria dell’Eremo is located in this former hermitage in Rua di Feletto. Major art exhibitions are held in the exhibition hall. The Pieve and the Galleria focus on different aspects of culture: architectural history and religious art here, art exhibitions there.

The Pieve di San Pietro Apostolo dates back to the Lombard period and was most likely built on the foundations of an earlier Roman temple. The Pieve di San Pietro di Feletto stands on a hill with panoramic views and has a large portico. This was probably added to the building in the 13th century. The panoramic hill and the large portico add spatial and architectural details to the historical context of the Pieve.

A chapel in the Pieve di San Pietro di Feletto contains a fresco cycle from the second half of the 15th century. The scenes depict episodes from the life of Saint Sebastian. It is accompanied by the Cristo della Domenica, considered a rare late-medieval depiction from popular religious culture. In this depiction, Christ is shown wounded by agricultural and craft tools. The motif combines religious imagery with tools from agriculture and craftsmanship.

Museums and countryside in the surrounding area

The Civic Museum of the Castello, a museum, is located in the immediate vicinity of San Pietro di Feletto. Also nearby are Castello di Conegliano, a castle; Casa di Cima da Conegliano, a museum; and Vision In Motion Di Giuseppe Dall'Arche, also a museum. As a castle, Castello di Conegliano is a different type of building from the museums in the surrounding area.

The mountains Mondragon, Col Maor and Croda della Spia are also located around San Pietro di Feletto. Isola Santo Spirito, an island, is likewise in the surrounding area. Thus, in addition to the three mountain names, an island name is also among the specific landscape references around San Pietro di Feletto.

Cheese, maturation and regional wines

One particular gastronomic highlight is Perenzin Latteria. It offers visits to the historic company museum, guided tours of the maturation cellars, and sensory-led tastings of Perenzin Latteria cheeses and wines from the region. The cheeses are made from goat's, cow's and buffalo milk. The three types of milk provide a specific basis for the sensory-led cheese tastings. At Perenzin, company history, maturation cellars and tastings featuring cheeses made from three types of milk and wines from the region come together.
