Oratories with a history of their own

Three oratories give Grantorto’s cultural landscape different accents. The Oratorio di San Carlo was a manor chapel belonging to Villa Malfatti. The Oratorio di Sant’Antonio was built by the residents of Contrà Boschi in thanks for the favourable settlement of a long-standing dispute over territorial rights. The Oratorio della Madonna della Grazia Divina is also known as the Oratorio delle Grazie and is a votive chapel built in 1920. Each building thus represents its own historical context.

Chiesa dei Santi Biagio e Daniele

The Chiesa dei Santi Biagio e Daniele in Grantorto has existed since at least the 15th century. On its façade, statues of the Madonna, Saint Blaise and Saint Daniel contribute to its distinctive design. The figures come from the same stone-carving workshop that belonged to the Vicentine sculptor Orazio Marinali.
