Church and mill: history on site

The present-day Chiesa Arcipretale di Santa Giustina was built between 1782 and 1791 by Antonio De Boni and consecrated in 1832. It houses a Madonna by Francesco Frigimelico, a Saint Francis by Antonio Crico and a statue of the Addolorata by Valentino Panciera Besarel. In 1998, the remains of the mother church dating from the 5th to 6th century, as well as those of an ancient basilica from 1150, were discovered at the Chiesa Arcipretale di Santa Giustina.

The Mulino di Santa Libera also brings together several periods of history: its wheels were already in operation in 1526; in 2004, the mill was restored with the support of the Municipality of Santa Giustina and reopened to the public. Together with the church, it forms a focus of cultural history that brings together architectural history, works of art and archaeological traces.
