The “Augustales” complex bears a name that goes back to an inscription found there. This inscription was dedicated to the Genius Augustus by the Augustan quattuorvir Lucius Calpurnius Aphthonetus. The monumental complex was, in all likelihood, part of the Roman forum of Centuripe.

Other historic spaces contribute to the town’s cultural diversity. The “Antiquarium” exhibition centre is located in the cloister of a former Augustinian monastery. The Church of San Giuseppe has a Baroque interior and dates from 1730. Its original white-stone floor is one of the few remaining floors of its kind in Sicily. The building known as “Corradino Castle” actually served a funerary purpose and dates from the 2nd or 3rd century AD; it is therefore not an ordinary castle.
