Around Marazzino, coastal landscapes, diverse beach destinations and historic sites come together. La Marmorata shapes the experience: the main beach is characterised by fine white sand, while the two coves offer views of Santa Maria island and the islet of La Marmorata. In addition to the fine white sand, the coves’ island views are part of La Marmorata’s coastal scenery. For days by the water, you can plan fine sand, views from the coves and the islet as different focal points.

La Marmorata and the smaller beach sections

La Laurina is the smaller of La Marmorata’s two beaches. It can be reached on foot from the main beach and is also known as La marmoratina. The islet of La Marmorata can also be reached by swimming. The smaller beach section can therefore be connected to the main beach via a footpath, while the coves offer their own views. La Laurina and La marmoratina refer to the same smaller beach section.

Routes to Cala Sambuco

From Marazzino, Cala Sambuco is recommended to be reached by boat or on foot. Access is via an unpaved road; afterwards, the route continues on foot from an area near a gate. This specific route is relevant to your day planning: those travelling on foot to Cala Sambuco should plan not only for the unpaved road but also for the subsequent section starting from the area near the gate. The walking route therefore consists of a road section followed by another stretch on foot.

Finding your way around Marazzino

On the road from Santa Teresa Gallura towards Palau, a left turn to Marazzino appears after approximately 5 km. Access to La Marmorata is via the Marazzino–La Marmorata turn-off and then continues to a paid car park. The reference to approximately five kilometres applies to the turn-off to Marazzino and remains an approximate distance for the journey. To reach La Marmorata, therefore, take the left turn after approximately five kilometres, followed by the Marazzino–La Marmorata access road and the paid car park.
