At this second site, the extraction of stone is reconstructed. The museum in Rorà reconstructs several areas of everyday life: the kitchen, stable, bedroom and school. Two additional halls focus on the history of the Waldensians and stone processing.

The historic Tupinet quarry in Rorà has been established as a museum trail. Visits are limited to small groups accompanied by an authorised guide and to favourable weather conditions. This item can therefore be deliberately planned as a separate cultural element.

Routes with Different Characteristics

The Anello di Pietra runs from Borgata Rumer in Rorà to Punta Cournour in Rorà, following an old municipal road that connects the settlement of Rumer with the area near Punta Cournour. The Anello offers a complete view of the territory of the three municipalities of Rorà, Luserna San Giovanni and Bagnolo Piemonte, where Luserna stone is currently quarried.

For a day of cycling, the Anello del Ciapel loop is a clearly defined destination: it starts and ends at Rorà Fucine/Ruà, is 9.78 km long and runs over asphalt and unpaved paths. The loop is designated for mountain bikes and road bikes. Its length and surface provide concrete reference points for planning your day.

A local track begins at Peyret and leads to the bend above Borgata Ruà. On another route, the second bend is in Località Rua at an altitude of 698 m; shortly afterwards, the route leaves Località Fucine at an altitude of 693 m on the right. The route “Valanza (Ex Rifugio) da Luserna San Giovanni, giro” reaches the paved road just above Borgata Ruà. One route leads into the territory of the municipality of Rorà after the village of Franchino.

The event “Cammina che si mangia” was a stage hike through the particularly impressive landscapes of Rorà and took place there for the 21st time.
