Castello di Gabiano occupies a commanding position above the Po Valley. Its labyrinth is a historic monument and is one of the very few documented labyrinths in the historic gardens of Piedmont. It was designed in the 1930s by the architect Lamberto Cusani. The labyrinth lies at the heart of the park and creates a contrast between the strict geometric lines of the castle complex and the natural character of the park. Chiesa di San Pietro Apostolo and historic details

The Chiesa di San Pietro Apostolo is designed in the neoclassical style and has a Gothic bell tower. It contains frescoes by Paolo Maggi from the 19th century, as well as a carved walnut choir dating from 1738. The former building was at risk of collapse in 1688; the church was rebuilt in 1690–92. In addition, the route “Gabiano, tra fiume e collina” leads through the vineyards around Castello di Gabiano. This route is 22.82 kilometres long and includes Gabiano as a mountain bike route. Gabiano’s culinary tradition was shaped by its historical importance as an important transit point on the Po and combines recipes from Monferrato and Vercelli cuisine. The Museo delle Truppe Alpine «Carlo Monti» displays documents on the history and development of the Italian Alpini Corps from its foundation through the period between the world wars. It also features uniforms from 1872 to 1945, hats, helmets, weapons, bunks, stretchers, mule equipment, radio and telephone equipment, as well as sledges from the Russian campaign.
