Holiday apartment in Gerre De' Caprioli: Po floodplains and Lombard farmsteads
Gerre De' Caprioli combines a historic rural village center with a landscape that is still strongly shaped by the Po. The village center was the original seat of the municipality and consists mainly of farmsteads. At the same time, the area is still largely occupied by the Po's floodplain areas.

The Parco del Po e del Morbasco lies in the Po floodplain and includes the Morbasco, Cerca and Morta waterways. Former changes in the course of the Po also continue to shape the landscape in the Lombard and Emilian areas.
The park is home to the Strand della Luna, which covers around 30 hectares. Along the Morta waterway, there is also a Cariceto stand that is unique to the Cremona plain. These two special features draw attention to different aspects of the river landscape: the open area of the Strand della Luna as well as the characteristic vegetation along the Morta.
Walking trails, cycle path and equestrian center
The Golena del Po cycle path runs through the Parco del Po e del Morbasco from Cremona towards Stagno Lombardo. The park also offers opportunities for walks. Horse riding is another activity available to visitors. On the edge of the park, in the eponymous Cascina, is the Bugatti equestrian center.
Cascina Bugatti is also an important example of the Lombard architectural tradition of enclosed farmsteads, which were built from the 17th century onward. Thus, at the edge of the park, the active side of the equestrian center is combined with a tangible insight into the region's architectural history.
Piarda Guidotti and Cristo del Po
Piarda Guidotti is located on the left bank of the Po at a viewpoint. The “Cristo del Po” monument is situated there. The Big Bench is also located at Piarda Guidotti on the Po, near Cristo del Po. It offers the opportunity to admire the beauty of the landscape on the opposite bank from a new perspective.
The former Piarda Guidotti has been transformed into a public place for meeting and recreation. The hopper facilities at Piarda Guidotti have also been redesigned and put to public recreational use. Piarda Guidotti is also a place where people disembark during river cruises. The Parco del Po e del Morbasco is also associated with a Sunday street market.
The entrance to the Chiesa Parrocchiale di San Gioacchino al Bosco is on the ground floor and is freely accessible because there are no architectural barriers.
