Romanesque traces and sacred art

The Chiesa rupestre di San Vittore has early medieval, and possibly even older, origins. It comprises an underground grotto and an upper outer church area dating from the 15th or 16th century. The grotto contains an ancient fresco depicting the Crucifixion, while the upper church preserves well-preserved frescoes from the 16th and 17th centuries. The Chiesa di San Fermo e Rustico also dates back a long way: its existence is already documented in a deed from 1158. The Romanesque church stands in a rural settlement within the municipal area of Brembate. Fermo e Rustico has a Romanesque rectangular floor plan ending in a semicircular apse.

Villa Tasca was the residence of Vittore Tasca. It includes the Parco Elena Tironi, and its romantic park is characterized by centuries-old cedars and magnolias. In Grignano, the main façade of the Chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo is vertically divided into three sections by brick pilasters. The parish church of Grignano, Parrocchiale Grignano, houses a small painting by Jacopo Palma il Giovane in its baptistery.
